International Medical Services & Fee Standards

To provide comprehensive and world-class healthcare to our global community, Taipei Veterans General Hospital offers dedicated and personalized international medical services for foreign nationals who do not hold a Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI) card.All services listed below are administered under our International Medical Service protocols to ensure the highest standards of care and coordination.

Remote Consultation Services

  1. Online Consultation (Telemedicine)
    • NT$ 6,500 per session, plus NT$ 500 Registration fee
    • Additional NT$ 200 for every extra 5 minutes beyond 30 minutes
  2. Written Medical Report
    • NT$ 4,000 per report, plus NT$ 500 Registration fee
    • Specialist review based on submitted medical records

Outpatient Services

  1. International Outpatient Clinic or Emergency Department Visit
    • NT$ 1,500 Consultation fee, plus NT$ 500 Registration fee
    • Diagnostic tests, imaging, medications, and procedures are charged separately
  2. International Medical Special Outpatient Services
    • NT$ 2,000 per visit (personal accompaniment during consultation)

Inpatient Services

  1. General Inpatient Service Fee
    • NT$ 5,000 per admission
  2. Ward Charges
    • Charged at 1.3 times the fee standard approved by the Taipei City Department of Health (minimum charge NT$ 2,000 per day)

International Medical Billing Standards & Other Fees

For services or items not listed above, fees are charged according to the following standards:

  1. NHI-Covered Items
    • Charged at 2 times the standard NHI reimbursement rate
  2. Non-NHI-Covered (Out-of-Pocket) Items
    • Charged at 1.7 times the fee standard approved by the Taipei City Department of Health
  3. Medical Image Upload & Archive
    • NT$ 850 per case

Eligibility

The services and fee standards listed above apply exclusively to foreign nationals without Taiwan NHI coverage.
